Ptolemy Slocum is an actor and an improv performer/teacher who has just recently become an author of this bio. His teaching/imporv history includes: the old school improv group Neutrino, which was invited to the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival and was awarded "Improv Ensemble of the Year" by the Chicago Improv Festival, Recess, George Washington University's legendaryish comedy group, lots of shows at the original UCB theater in New York, and more recently at The PIT as a teacher and Ensemble Committee member. Ptolemy is also celebrating five years without a day job: appearing in (some large number of) commercials, television shows ("The Wire," "Sopranos," "Fringe," "Damages," "Wonder Showzen," "Cupid," "Nurse Jackie") and movies ("Hitch," "Confessions of a Shopaholic," "(Untitled)").
